some minor stuff at anatomy, for example one of her fingers(the index) is too small, and her left foot is weirdly bent imo..but anyway it looks great

The basic figure used here is Victoria 3, which is indeed developed by a third party (DAZ3d), she is the most popular and widespread human female Poser figure at the moment. We produce add-on content for V3 and thus we need everything we create to "fit" her.
The character you see used here, however, is a heavy modification of the base model and very different from the original, she was totally resculpted in ZBrush from head to toe.
Creating a completely custom female character for our own art would't make much sense as she should have the same features as the existing V3 for our products to "match" her, it's a matter of time-wisdom and pragmatism.
Despite the basic female figure we have created everything you see in the image using various tools, the custom character female elf named Yaara) using Z-Brush, the clothes and hair models, all the textures, set up and rendered the image in Poser 6 and postworked in photoshop so after so much work we do indeed feel like independent authors nonetheless
It's understandable though that people not very familiar with Poser can't really tell out what is personal work and what is purchased add-on, that is why we always try to make clear what we created personally.
Anyway, thanks for the comment

My one crit though is the same one I seem to give on all poser based works...and that's the awful join between shoulder and chest. With all the post work you do can you not sort this eyesore out...it really lets down an otherwise excellent piece!!!

thanks
We agree Poser people's joints don't look very good and realistic and this one was already postworked but, as content creators, we also have to try to not alter the character and goods too much to show the content as it looks directly from Poser (colour correction, magical effect and so on are another matter).
However for the next one we'll post here we'll try to take care of such things too as this is not strictly a promo render anymore.

emagery's comment made me chuckle..it does look like she's about to have an imminent 'wardrobe malfunction'....maybe that's part of her appeal!!!???

We'd say It can either hang on or slip away (like a waist coat), maybe it's because the back part is longer that is seems it should slip away but that is indeed the shirt design.
Beside of any speculation about gravity, however, the image needed to not show any nudity
Thanks for taking the time to look and send crits

We reshaped both body and head. The basic model (Victoria 3) is very different from the custom character (Yaara).
